A Warm Welcome

All Cyclists are welcome to join us on our rides.

On-road Rides

Our Regular Saturday afternoon rides from Grove Old Mill Hall:
A moderately paced (13-14 mph) ride on the 1st Saturday of each month to cater for experienced riders.
An "Easy Rider" outing (10-11 mph) for beginners on the 4th Saturday of each month.

The ‘Regular Wantage Ride’ (3rd Sunday in month) is a longer, day ride at a moderate pace. The distance, duration and difficulty of these rides vary depending upon the time of year, weather, etc.. There are occasional short off-road excursions. We also have extra on-road rides on some intermediate weekends. These range from shorter/slower paced rides designed for families to more challenging all-day rides for the more athletic. Please contact the Leader or Rides Secretary beforehand concerning the suitability of rides.

Children are welcome but should be accompanied by an adult. We usually stop for a pub lunch on Sunday and somewhere for tea on Saturday. There will be plenty of experienced hands to help with minor repairs and punctures but please carry a puncture repair kit and spare inner tube. Please ensure your bicycle (or trike or tandem) is roadworthy and be prepared for a change in the weather. Bring a drink too to slake your thirst. During the winter months we recommend that you have working lights.

‘A Bit of Rough’ – Off-road Rides

Wantage gets dirty! Have a mountain bike and fancy some rough stuff? Then please join us on one of our off-road rides. These are held on during the summer months and explore the bridleways in and around (and above) the Vale

Evening Rides & Pub Nights

Our weekly Tuesday Evening Rides take place from mid April to mid September, also meeting at Grove Old Mill Hall, 6:30pm. During the darker months, we have regular social gatherings either meeting directly at a pub in Wantage, or having a cycle out to a nearby pub - keep an eye on the rides list for details of dates and locations.

We hope you will enjoy riding with us.
